THE OLIVE OIL AND ITS ORIGIN
Our cooperative,Nuestra Señora del Rosario,in Algodonales(province of Cadiz)has around 300 farmers and members.Harvesting and production are carried out using traditional and sustainable methods.Annual production is approximately 1,200 tonnes of extra virgein olive oil,around 10% of which is organically produced (BIO).
At IberoBio,we currently bring 100% organic olive oil with European organic certification to Germany.Custumers who choose a premium product deserve a complete guarantee of quality and organic standards.Our olive oil has an acidity level of approximately 0,2-0,3 % well below the EU limit of 0,8 % for extra virgin olive oil.
Spain produces approximately half of the world´s olive oil,with Andalusia alone accounting for more than 40 %.In the mountain regions of Lujar and Grazalema in the province of Cadiz centuries-old olive threes grow under excelent conditions for varieties such as Zarzaleña,Manzanillo and Hojiblanca.
